Imaging with respiratory or cardiac synchronisation
For imaging systems with submillimetric resolution, the main origin of image degradation is the blur induced by movements of the thoracic cage as a result of breathing. To overcome this problem, a synchronisation system reduces the influence of movements, by means of an external cuff enabling the respiratory mechanogram to be recorded.
